Managing
Director Frederic Dangreaux is one of the world’s
great pâtissiers. Born near Cambrai, upon leaving
school he was apprenticed to one of France’s leading
pâtisseries and reached the highest echelons of
his profession, qualifying as Pâtissier, Glacier,
Confiseur and Chocolatier, thus achieving the rare distinction
of excellence in every element of gateaux and dessert
cuisine. Moving to England in 1989, he became Pâtissier
at the renowned Brockencote Hall Hotel in Worcestershire,
before being appointed Chef Pâtissier at the International
Convention Centre, Birmingham, where he was personally
congratulated on his culinary achievements by visiting
royalty, world leaders at the G8 Summit, and many other
V.I.P.’s. Recognising the potential for a classic
French patisserie in an English town, he moved on to
establish Frère Jacques in Cheltenham’s
Montpellier Arcade in January 2000.
Franchise Director Helen Dangreaux was born in Droitwich,
Worcestershire and attended University of Central England
where she gained a Business Studies and Languages Degree.
To improve her linguistic skills, she then went to live
and work in France, where she met and married Frederic.
On returning to the U.K. her career developed in the
corporate sector and she became an executive with a
major p.l.c. With a strong and successful track record
in business management, Helen provides the commercial
input to Frère Jacques Patisserie and is responsible
for its franchise development.
